Oh wow these packages are amazing! I don’t know which on to choose… oh man. Well I suppose I’ll choose Package # 4. I mainly want it because I do not have a camera of any sort (I know, horrifying) and it would be a fun start. I know everyone is vying for this one, and the chance of me getting it is slim, but I’m going to go for it. Even if I don’t get it, it was fun just to enter and dream, haha

I would love to win package #2. First of all, I collect owls and am in the process of decorating my apartment, so the canvas painting would be a great addition to my happy home. Secondly, the desk lamp would be another lovely addition to my apartment look. The speakers would be a gift to my boyfriend and I would really enjoy redecorating them for him each time I went over to his house. The rabbit notebook would be perfect to record inspiration, not to mention I would probably end up framing the cover when I was done with it. And lastly, I’ve been needing a new wallet.

I desperately want Package #2 for the reasons following:
I have a rabbit that reigns my house (which by the way is a pool house) and thus deserve a sketchbook to remind me of who is boss. Owls are my soul. They hoot outside of my spacious pool home at night and I doodle them on everything, receipts, people, tables…name it, i’ve put an owl there…likely. That desk lamp is bangin’ and I need it because pool houses aren’t well lit, speaking for those of us who have lived in a pool house, basement, barn or like accommodation. It’s sometimes a cave in my home, I love to read, and light is good for reading. My eyes thank you in advance. That illustration magazine just looks cool. It will inspire my doodles to become cooler doodles, and magically transform my design style into a superpower. Those speakers look like something that I could get envious looks with by the pool (which is conveniently located beside my pool house). That handmade wallet, lastly, will make me look like I am not only tasteful, but also made of money. I like to elude. Please, OK Great, pimp my home! And happy birthday!

HELLO FRIENDS! Like the great and venerable dragon Smaug and his glimmering horde I have come in search of treasures to nourish my creative spirit! (Although I will most likely abstain from sleeping on top of theses artifacts if I win them, that is, unless that helps me win them, in which case I will dutifully lodge them in my sleeping area and gladly drool on them like my favorite stuffed animals.) AHEM! On to my reasoning and request!
1. I would like to apply for the Second Package!
LET ME TELL YOU WHY!
A. I see something of myself in the lovely owl seeking his prey! Perhaps I’m being vainglorious, or perhaps I just like to eat rats. I’ll let you CHEW ON THAT.
B. How am I supposed to finish building my model-ship-in-a-bottle without proper lighting?
C. DID YOU SEE THE NIPPLES ON THAT BOOK?
D. I need the rabbit to balance out the owl print. It’s like Tommy’s Yin-Yang necklace in Power Rangers. DUH.
E. How else will the Owl and the Rabbit have a thematically worthy soundtrack to their struggles without a well-appointed and custom-tailored speaker system on which to play it?
F. Because I don’t have any money so my wallet needs to have some ZAZZ, especially when I tell people it’s made from R.O.U.S skin.

Not so long ago, there was a box full of random items in the break room with the word FREE written sloppily across the front. Inside the box was an old Polaroid camera that still had film inside! It was great–I shot a few neat shots at home over the weekend, then the film ran out. I went to Walgreens to purchase more film. I had remembered seeing it there, must have been a long time ago though- because they said they have not had that on the shelves in years! Anyways, The novelty of the instant camera pretty much just kicks-ass, needing a modern replacement–THANK YOU OKAY GREAT!

1. Because technacolored owls are the coolest.

Although it was incredibly hard to nchoose between the packages I would have to wioth package number three-hello fox art! Combining animals with circa 1920s photos!? If I don’t get package number three I may have to resort to dressing up my cat Nigel which would make him really mad and would altogether be pretty sad. Aside from that I just finished up my journal/genius ideas/sketch book and I may be more inclined to jump back into the creative game with a sweet sketchbook like that…. and lastly, my plants need a new home, a stylish new home aka that highland vase

i’m so torn here.
i kinda want package 2. the owl print would look pretty damn sweet in my living room, and the deak lamp would probably keep me from going blind using my halogen monstrosity that i have now. ammo number 2 would probably make me subscribe to yet another art maagazine, so i don’t know if that’s a plus or a minus. the sweet little notebook would find a good home somewhere on my desk, possibly right next to those speakers that honestly, i’m gonna bedazzle the hell out of. and while i already own one of kieran’s sweet wallets, i’m sure i could find someone (possibly a former neighbor) that would use it.

I really really want package #4. Here’s why: In the last 7 days I’ve flown up to NY (from NC), interviewed for a job, got the job, and put in my 2 weeks notice. One week from today I will be living in the Big Apple. My head is spinning (good and bad). Packages 1-3 are amazing, but the truth is I’m trying to get rid of things!
I’m super close with my family here and want to stay in touch and send pictures of my new place, my new job, my new life! The camera would be a great way for me to remember this amazing time in my life and share it with family.

I went to school for photography but switched to design because photography was something I like to do as an art form and not for a living. Needless to say I got sucked wayyyyyy down into the design hole and have not been practicing photography. This would be a great opportunity to get me back up on the old tripod so to speak.

Congrats on your two year anniversary!!Kudos for all who are involved in this blog. I would really enjoy package #2 beacause it is very creative and abstract. The desktop lamps are funky and have the look of alien antenna eyes that look like my favorite alien cartoon.the owl print has a unique and look that will make anyone want to look at it for a long period of time. Also the DIY speakers look awesome and i love to make my own wierd designs on things that i use, so i would really enjoy them. But again guys great job keep on doing what you do.

Package four is the package for me! I’ve always wanted an “instant-picutre camera”! it seems awesome. to be able to capture a moment in your life within a second and keep it forever? sounds great to me! i have two little sisters, 5&6, and they would LOVE the idea of being able to have instant pictures of themselves. I really want to be able to capture more moments of their lives, it would mean a lot. Then to scrapbook all of the pictures would be SO neat. It’d be a fun, creative project that we could all three look back on as sisters.

But on that note, I think PACKAGE 2 is the one for me. That owl canvas print and the little lamps would look great in my dorm room when I move off to college in the fall. Package two for birthday two! Happy birthday and yay! The owl/mouse print is so fantastic, but the real reason I choose #2 is the lamp. My 4 year old daughter and I are building her a “nest” area for reading books and hiding from her siblings. This would be perfect on a little perch in her private kid space.

I live in a small town in Texas and can only get film developed at WalMart. But they have done away with their 1-hour photo, so I always have to wait a week for my prints.

I really really really want package #4 because I’m a poor starving photography student who can’t afford a new (just for fun) camera. But, if I won a polaroid-esque camera of my very own, I would find a way to work the emotional implications of instant film into one of my assignments, maybe do a series on “spontaneity,” or something super deep like that…
